This project took nearly a 6 months. Much of it was necessary politicking - everyone needed their say - and to give their .02.
I am actually proud to have gotten it done in just 6 months, nearly half of that time was in the give and take of stakeholders who felt the need to say their piece, and my job was to just give enough to let them claim ownership without too great a departure from the core approved by the CEO.
It needed to be approved by Larry Kutscher, the executive team, Thoma Bravo, various board members, random directors and so many others.
The final designs were tame, but effective. The question we asked was, what would TravelClick look like if it were a Big Data company, and not a media reseller?
