Sometimes the problem is that the client has high aspirations, but doesn't have the budget to match. Millenium Copthorne wanted TravelClick to uphold their brand standards and simultaneously move the project forward - but they had no assets and the original set of stock we chose for them was simply too expensive. So we had to move much further down the food chain and settled on a Thinkstock subscription, which is in many ways scraping the bottom of the barrel - in a stock image sense - and we came up with these.
Editng them to appear congruent with the Hotel chain's branding wasn't easy. In almost all cases the color red in the image needed to be adjusted to either be Millennium's company color or something that didn't clash with it. A certain dreamy realism, under-defined in their branding, needed to be whimsically added to make each photo less a "travel journalist" approach and more a sublime dream of that place.
